Hastings 1066 Hasler

Sunday 22^nd May 2022 Hastings Canoe Club will be running our annual Hasler Marathon Race on the River Medway, starting and ending at Tonbridge Canoe Club. 

COURSES:
The river is narrow and slow flowing with numerous portages, depending on the race distance. All K1 and K2 divisions are included, so the event is suitable for all abilities. All courses are an out and back race.

PARKING:
There is free parking at the Lower Castle Field car park by the Swimming Pool and the Bradford Street car park.
START TIMES:

Race order will be given on the day.

ENTRIES:

Open 22^nd April 2022 and close on Friday 19^th May 2022.

SAFETY:

All paddlers in Divisions 7 to 10 and U14s must wear approved buoyancy aids. Team leaders must decide if paddlers in higher divisions should wear them.

RULES:

The race will be run in accordance with the current Marathon Racing rules.

NUMBER BOARDS:

These will be issued to Team Leaders at check in and must be returned by Team Leaders after the race.

Lost boards will be charged at £5.

REFRESHMENTS:

Competitor’s food will be provided, and other food and drink will be available for purchase.

PRIZES:

Medals to be presented around 3:30pm.
