Full distance K1/C1 assessment race for selection for the German National Marathon Championships and the Marathon World Cup.

12pm: Senior & U23 MK1 Men: 6 Long Laps 5 Portages
12:01pm: Junior MK1: 4 Long Laps 3 Portages
12:02pm: Senior & U23 WK1 and Senior & U23 MC1: 5 Long Laps 4 Portages
12:03pm: Junior WK1, Junior MC1 and Senior, U23 & Junior WC1: 3 Long Laps 2 Portages
Unless river conditions change the course will be as follows:
An upstream start (starting at the white house) towards the club, turning anti-clockwise around 3 clearly marked buoys above the little island, and then head downstream approx. 1500m (passing under both cut bridges) to the next set of clearly marked buoys, turning anti-clockwise to head upstream around the back of the big island.
Subsequent laps, the portage is outside the club, from the wooden landing stage to the floating pontoon some 40m heading downstream.
The finish is at the bridge below the club (between the two wooden posts where the finishing officials will sit). Please note there is no portage before the finish. The finish is approx. 500m from the last set of turn buoys.
Late entries will not be accepted on the day.
Notes to Competitors
The race will be run in accordance with the assessment rules in the Canoe Racing Handbook and all athletes are expected to follow the MRC and British Canoeing Rules for competition. If you are not aware of these rules, please make yourself aware.
